My name is Alice and I’m in my third year of university studying English Literature.
I’m New Zealand born and have an older sister and little brother. I was raised mostly by my dad who is an engineer at a fruit processing plant. I am incredibly close with them.
When I was in high school, I was convinced that I wanted to be a forensic anthologist because I was such a big fan of Bones. However, I quickly learnt that I hated Biology, Chemistry, and Math, all of which was needed to become a forensic anthologist. The depression I felt over my utter failure was swallowed up in writing -which I quickly learnt was what I enjoyed more than anything. After tons of research, I managed to have enough information to convince my dad that writing was a half descent profession. From then on out, I knew what to do with my life: I was going to be a writer. No matter what.
I finished my first novel in my final year of high school and after one and a half years of editing it, I finally decided to start another project. My current project is still in progress but it going well.
My favourite author is Sarah Beth Durst, although I love many authors such as Sarah Rees Brennan, Jackson Pearce, Terry Pratchett, Kristin Cashore, and various others. I highly recommend each and every one of them, especially Terry Pratchett because a life without Discworld seems like a bleak life indeed!
My favourite movie is Timeline but I really love The Princess Bride. I’m also a huge Disney fan and my favourite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. Along with Disney, I also have a passion for Bollywood films. My favourite miniseries is BBC’s North and South but I also love Syfy’s Tinman, The Tenth Kingdom, and Syfy’s Alice.
A HEADS UP (a few warnings about my personality):
Thank you and I hope you enjoy my blog.
